(Photo News) NIPR President Joins Dignitaries At FCT Chapter AGM

NIPR President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Dr. Ike Neliaku on Thursday, November 28, 2024 joined other dignitaries at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the FCT Chapter of the Institute. 

With the theme, "Leadership and Economic Transformation", the AGM took place at NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja. 

The President who was the Chief Host of the event harped on the need to make the country's image more competitive so that it could attract the needed investment to spur economic transformation. 

“Public relations builds and promotes reputation. And we are saying that we must take the reputation capital of our nation seriously. It is only when your reputation is high that you can get investors to come in and invest in the economy.

“If your economy does not have respect for the way things ought to be done, nobody will invest in such economy,” he stated.

Dignitaries in attendance include, Hon. Justice R. B. Haastrup, Justice of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria; Muhammadu Maigari, Minister of Labour and Employment; Sunday Dare, Special Adviser on Public Communications and Orientation; Prof Obiora Okonkwo, CEO of United Nigeria Airline; Labaran Maku, former Minister of Information; Lanre Issa-Onilu the DG National Orientation Agency; Jibrin Baba-Ndace, DG Voice of Nigeria; SK Usman, member of Governing Council, Secretary General of APRA, Omoniyi Ibietan and several others.
