NIPR President Tasks Youths On Selfless National Service

The President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku on Thursday, August 22, 2024 spoke at the 3rd Legislative Mentorship Initiative (LMI) in Abuja where he urged participants to place the interest of the country above personal gains when called to serve.

Speaking on the topic, "Effective Public Sector Leadership: Tools, Styles & Public Relations Techniques", Mr. President told the participants drawn from across the 36 states and the FCT that the development of the country has been stunted because only a few of those in leadership positions serve with the interest of the country at heart.

"Our nation is the way it is today because only few person serve from the interest of nation. As persons who will occupy leadership positions tomorrow, I am appealing to you to be that exceptional leader our country yearns for.

"No nation moves forward where those in leadership positions only think of what benefits them, their religious organizations and their ethnic communities. We must place Nigeria first as those who want to be successful leaders in the nearest future", he noted.
