NIPR Leadership Tours Delta State Government Mega Projects
The leadership of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has embarked on a tour of completed and ongoing infrastructural projects of Delta State Government.
The project tour is on the sideline of the Institute's ongoing Directors Conference and Retreat in Asaba with the theme, "Leveraging Data-driven Insights for Digital Communications".
The NIPR team, on Thursday, November 7 arrived the construction site of the Obo River Bridge, which is part of the ongoing Ughelli-Asaba dualization project.
Speaking at the site, leader of the team and Vice President of NIPR, Prof. Emmanuel Dandaura applauded the quality of work ongoing at the gigantic bridge, noting that the state government has demonstrated commitment to leave a lasting legacy in the infrastructural landscape of the state.
Describing the state governor, Sheriff Oborevwori as a man with great vision, Prof. Dandaura said that the project when completed, will not only put Delta State on the map of states that have achieved a great milestone in infrastructure, but will enhance economic activities of the oil-rich state.
The State Commissioner for Information, Dr Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, was on ground to guide the team, while former South-South Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) and Fellow of NIPR, Elder Emma Ogidi was the tour coordinator.
Director General, Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe (ESQ) was among senior government officials present at the tour.
