Governor Sani Accepts Hosting of 2026 Nigeria Public Relations Week, Commends NIPR's Initiatives


The Kaduna State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, has officially accepted Kaduna State’s hosting of the 3rd Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) and the 63rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

Speaking during a high-level meeting between the Kaduna State Government and the Governing Council of the Institute at the Government House, Kaduna Sunday, Senator Sani commended NIPR for the establishment of the Nigeria Reputation Management Group (NRMG) and winning of the hosting right for the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), saying the capacity to attract the hosting right of the WPRF to Nigeria speaks to the quality of leadership that NIPR has demonstrated at the global stage.

He expressed delight over the Institute’s choices of the 2026 NPRW theme - “Food Security: From Policy Paper to Public Plate; the Imperatives of Public Relations" and Kaduna State as event host, describing it as a recognition of the ongoing transformation in the state.

The Governor, who approved all requests by the Institute assured that the Kaduna State Government will partner with the Institute to ensure a successful programme with deep positive impact to the society. 

Earlier in his remarks, the NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku, revealed that the 2026 Nigeria Public Relations Week is packaged to be a special edition that will serve as a prelude to the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF).

Dr. Neliaku described the NPRW as the largest gathering of communication and reputation management professionals in the country, noting that the 2026 edition will attract international participants, resource persons, and development partners.

“You cannot quantify the reputation capital, financial capital, and professional capital that will emerge from this event,” the NIPR President concluded.

Scheduled to hold in April, 2026, the event is expected to draw over 2,000 delegates to Kaduna State, which is projected to significantly boost the state’s economy.
