NIPR President at NYSC, Charges Public Relations Officials on Sustained Value Addition
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has urged communication officers, especially, men and officers of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), to continue to deploy Public Relations professional skills towards creating greater stakeholders trust.
President of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku who gave this advice in Abuja on Thursday while addressing participants at the 2026 annual workshop for NYSC PR, Media and Protocol Officers noted that organisations do not stumble into greatness, but deliberately work for it over a long period of time.
Themed, "Managing Perception, Protecting Reputation: Communication Strategies for NYSC", the capacity building programme brought together relevant officers from across the country and the FCT to enable them gain knowledge for improved service delivery.
The NIPR boss urged the participants to at all times demonstrate examples of excellence as ambassadors and symbol of reputation for NYSC, stressing that this serves as a way of contributing significantly to building trust among key stakeholders.
"An American business researcher and author, Jim Collins once said that great organisations do not stumble into global relevance. They deliberately design their way there. All of you seated here today are key pillars upon which the greatness of NYSC will rest", he stated.
While calling for improved participation among NYSC officials at the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) scheduled to hold from 15th - 21st November, 2026 in Abuja, Dr. Neliaku re-emphasised the willingness of NIPR to continue to provide platforms that assist communication professionals add more value go their respective organisations.
