NIPR Inaugurates Project Implementation Committee of Public Relations and Leadership University.

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 formally unveiled the Project Implementation Committee (PIC) of Public Relations and Leadership University at the Library Building of National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku during the inauguration ceremony said that the Institute is poised to using the university project to make modest contributions towards solving a global problem of grooming leaders who will be equipped with the tool of public relations in order to effectively communicate their visions.

He said that in the decision of assembling members of the committee, the Institute decided to be very diverse in bringing together renowned academics and field practitioners in order to strike a balance between theory and practical so that every graduate of the Public Relations and Leadership University (PRLU) will be outstanding anywhere in the world.

Elder statesman and former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana while congratulating the leadership of NIPR for what he described as a brilliant and excellent idea, expressed hope that the university which is expected to fully commence operations in September 2026 will be a world class citadel of learning that will widen the horizon for effective leadership across the globe.

He also challenged the Committee to brilliantly discharge the very serious assignment before them and justify the confidence reposed in them by the NIPR leadership.

The Chairman of the 79-man Committee, Prof. Emmanuel Dandaura assured that his Committee will not only put strategies to ensure the commencement of the university but will ensure that it will on continous basis produce the much talked about visionary leaders that will transform the society.
