NIPR Confers Honorary Fellowship on Gov. Sani
Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has conferred its Honorary Fellowship on the governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Sen. Uba Sani in recognition of his effective leadership in the North West State.
The governor was conferred with the honour at the Council Chamber of Government House, Kaduna on Monday, 20th April by the top leadership of the Institute.
Speaking at the event, the President of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku said though the Act establishing the Institute provides that governors serve as Patrons while the President of the Federal Republic occupies the office of the Grand Patron, NIPR is intentional with who to identify with.
‘’And from our record, Your Excellency, you have met those requirements. And that is why the entire Council of the institute from all over Nigeria are here with us,’’ he stated.
Dr. Neliaku was particularly excited with the infrastructure renewal in the state, as manifested in the quality roads projects he has undertaken.
He used the opportunity to inform the governor of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) which Nigeria will host in November for the first time since the introduction of the programme 25 years ago.
Responding, Governor Uba Sani expressed appreciation to NIPR for the prestigious honour, saying, he accepts the recognition with humility and a sense of responsibility.
“It’s a call to remain steadfast in the pursuit of transparency, accountability and ethical communication in the discharge of public duty,” he added.
